Position Overview

Fusion HCR is seeking a Specialty Imaging Technologist – CT Scan to perform diagnostic examinations using specialized CT equipment, techniques, and software. The position is responsible for preparing and positioning patients, applying appropriate imaging protocols, operating equipment safely, and producing high-quality diagnostic studies.

The technologist will work with patients across different age groups and backgrounds while maintaining patient rights, privacy, comfort, and safety. Responsibilities also include contrast administration, recognizing contrast reaction symptoms, applying venipuncture and aseptic techniques, and following infection control and emergency response procedures.

The role requires effective collaboration with hospital personnel and consistent adherence to quality assurance, quality control, hazardous materials, and department safety standards. Experience with trauma and CT interventional examinations is strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

Perform diagnostic CT examinations in accordance with department protocols and established radiography procedures.
Operate specialized CT equipment and related computer applications safely and efficiently.
Select appropriate techniques and protocols to support accurate diagnostic evaluation.
Prepare, explain, and position patients to optimize examination results and maintain comfort.
Administer contrast when appropriate and monitor patients for signs of contrast reactions.
Perform venipuncture and apply appropriate aseptic techniques.
Follow infection control, patient rights, age-specific care, and hospital safety practices.
Apply quality assurance and quality control measures to imaging procedures and equipment use.
Handle, store, use, and dispose of hazardous materials in accordance with applicable procedures.
Respond appropriately to department and hospital emergencies.
Communicate effectively with patients and colleagues from diverse backgrounds.
Establish and maintain productive working relationships with physicians, staff, and other personnel.

Required Qualifications

Successful completion of an AMA-approved Radiologic Technology program.
Valid State of Nevada license in Radiology.
Current ARRT registration in Radiography.
National certification in a specialty area such as Computed Tomography or Angiography.
Current Basic Life Support certification accepted by the American Heart Association.
Knowledge of CT procedures, radiography protocols, anatomy and physiology, contrast application, and venipuncture techniques.
Knowledge of patient care, infection control, emergency response, and hospital safety practices.
Ability to use computers, specialized scanning software, and diagnostic evaluation applications.
Ability to operate specialized imaging equipment safely and effectively.
Ability to position patients accurately and apply appropriate technical procedures.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
