Our Client is a growing iGaming company focused on delivering premium, innovative content for a mobile-emerging world. The company brings together technical and creative professionals across software development, game design, mathematics, sound design, and quality assurance. This is a full-time, fully onsite opportunity for an experienced QA Automation Engineer to help shape testing practices across web, mobile, and desktop products.

The successful candidate will build automation frameworks, strengthen quality processes, and collaborate closely with development, product, and design teams. The role offers direct influence over products used in a highly engaging consumer environment.

Position Overview

Fusion HCR is seeking a Senior QA Automation Engineer who can build testing infrastructure and own quality from end to end. This role is responsible for designing and implementing automation frameworks in TypeScript, using Playwright for web applications and Appium for mobile testing across iOS and Android.

The engineer will establish test strategies, promote Shift-Left quality practices, and integrate UI, API, database, and performance validation into comprehensive test suites. The position also includes testing across Windows and macOS, performing cross-layer troubleshooting, and supporting real-device validation.

In addition to hands-on technical delivery, this individual will mentor QA team members, improve test operations, and partner with developers, product managers, and designers to identify requirements gaps and reduce defects before they reach staging.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain automation frameworks in TypeScript using Playwright and Appium.

  • Develop end-to-end test suites incorporating UI, API, and database validation.

  • Design test plans, define coverage standards, and drive Shift-Left testing practices.

  • Validate applications across web, iOS, Android, Windows, and macOS environments.

  • Perform device-level testing, log analysis, and environment-specific validation.

  • Investigate defects using RestAssured, Charles Proxy, ADB, Android Studio, Xcode diagnostics, and Web Inspector.

  • Conduct performance testing with JMeter for high-traffic scenarios.

  • Validate data integrity using SQL across Oracle, MySQL, and PostgreSQL.

  • Integrate automated testing into Jenkins or comparable CI/CD pipelines.

  • Maintain traceability and reporting workflows using TestRail, Jira, or equivalent tools.

  • Mentor QA engineers on test design, automation patterns, defect management, and quality practices.

  • Collaborate with engineering, product, and design teams to ensure thorough test coverage.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in QA automation, preferably building frameworks rather than only using existing ones.

  • Strong, hands-on TypeScript expertise, including production automation framework development.

  • Proven experience designing and implementing Playwright frameworks.

  • Mobile testing experience with Appium or an equivalent tool across iOS and Android.

  • Experience testing web, mobile, Windows, and macOS applications.

  • Strong SQL skills for backend data validation.

  • API testing experience with RestAssured, Postman, or similar tools.

  • Experience integrating automated tests into Jenkins or comparable CI/CD pipelines.

  • Performance testing experience with JMeter, LoadRunner, or an equivalent platform.

  • Demonstrated Shift-Left mindset and ability to identify quality risks early.

  • Experience mentoring QA engineers and promoting a strong quality culture.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

  • Ability to work onsite in Boca Raton five days per week.

  • Ability to complete a TypeScript-based technical assessment within one week.
